The last few months have been a whirlwind, so I wanted to take a moment and talk a little bit about where we’re at these days with Moebius Adventures.
First, a huge thank you goes out to everybody who backed our first Kickstarter back in October 2017. Aliens & Asteroids was a huge success and we’re happy to say we’re just about done with getting all the backers their rewards. The PDF looks great and we made a few tweaks to clarify a handful of things that were spotted (thanks Pierre!). We’ve gone through a couple of rounds of print proofs and have ordered all the copies we need. On that note, thanks to all the print backers who have filled out your surveys! As of this point we have 56 of 74 surveys back and we’ll be in good shape when the books arrive. We’ll keep you posted as we work through those steps.
If you weren’t a part of the Kickstarter but want to check out the game, be sure to head over to DriveThruRPG or RPGNow to grab a copy! As soon as we get all the print copies off to our backers, we’ll make the POD option available as well so you can have a copy for your physical shelf!
Second, I’m happy to say that we’re already working on our first supplement for A&A and we have two more in mind before the end of 2018 (with many more beyond that). I won’t let the cat out of the bag yet, but we’ll just say it’s going to be a popular vacation spot on the edge of the Stellar Graveyard thanks to designer Dianna Gunn. 🙂
Third, we’re also working on some cool new things for the Mazes & Perils line. Vince has been hard at work on a new version of the rules and we have some cool ideas to explore for a new setting based on ideas from Alan. So it’s definitely a work-in-progress, but should be a lot of fun going forward.
Other than that, there have been a few changes since Moebius Adventures partnered up with Gallant Knight Games. We announced the partnership in January and I’m excited to be back focusing on content while GKG handles the nitty gritty business end (sales, marketing, inventory, etc). Aliens & Asteroids is only the first product to benefit from this relationship and will definitely not be the last.
Among the changes, Moebius products are no longer available at the Open Gaming Store or the Paizo store. That leaves the Gallant Knight Games store as well as DriveThru and RPGNow. Though we have appreciated all the help that the OGS and Paizo folks have given us over the years, we’re refocusing for the future of the company with GKG, which required a few changes to streamline things distribution-wise.
So far, so good. We’re excited to be part of the collective of publishers operating through GKG and look forward to seeing what we can all do together. I actually met a number of the designers and Alan in Utah last month at the LTUE Symposium. We had a blast and it was like discovering kindred spirits, which was fantastic.
We’re already two months into 2018 and there is so much cool stuff on the horizon! I can hardly contain myself. 🙂
Thanks for being fans of Moebius Adventures and let’s reach for the future together!
