So far there have been no releases this year, but I wanted to let you know what’s going on here at Moebius Adventures.
Mazes & Perils: Deluxe Edition
This past week I completed the initial page layout for Mazes & Perils: Deluxe Edition. It weighs in at 71 pages, which is definitely the longest book I’ve ever worked with in Adobe InDesign and the longest book I’ve managed to put together since the Moebius Adventures Core Rules book back in 2006/2007. Of course, that was made much easier since I had the text of the original Mazes & Perils to start with from Vince!
Of course, before putting this book into InDesign we did a big edit pass in Google Docs. And now that I have it all in InDesign, I’ve printed the whole thing and am bleeding in red ink a page at a time. So far I’m through about 25 pages or so and we’ll be adding even more content in the next draft. Vince is writing some new content and between the two of us I bet we’ll add another 10-20 pages before we’re done.
All in all, I’m happy with the progress and hope to have a more final draft to our editors by the end of February.
Moebius MacGuffins #1
Beyond that, I’ve started work on a new product series for us called Moebius MacGuffins. The first one will be a book expanding on the articles I wrote for the December 2015 blog carnival around “Gifts.” It will add more details to some of the tables as well as new examples and some content that didn’t make it onto the blog. I only have 4 or 5 pages of content so far, but that will change over the next week or so.
I’m shooting to get that out by the end of January, but it may slip into February if Real Life gets in the way. It does that sometimes.
Long story short… progress!
