This book contains the Core Rules for the Moebius Adventures Roleplaying Game (RPG). This system is similar in intent to other RPGs and provides a structured set of rules for roleplaying in imaginary worlds.
What makes the Moebius Adventures system different is in the flexibility it provides players and GMs for creating rich characters and the mix of chance and quality determination during skill rolls and combat. The Moebius Adventures Roleplaying Game is a universal, cross-genre rule system that will take you on a journey up the Mobius Strip and back again until you see all the stops along the way.
The Core Rules book starts the trip by providing all the basic rules for the system. Here you’ll learn about character creation, general gameplay, combat rules, and possibly even save the village of Domerre from some men with a monster.
A Quick Note About Availability and Support
Although I am quite proud of the work we did with the Moebius Adventures Core Rules book, it is a product from an earlier time for Moebius Adventures and no longer supported. When Sean Bindel passed back in 2000, the main mind behind the rules passed with him and I realized in 2007 with the Core Rules book that rules are not my cup of tea.
If you grab a copy, I tell you thank you from the bottom of my heart. This represents a good era in my gaming and I hope you get something from the product.
But I hope you will check out some of the many products we’ve come out with since then. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. All of our new products are very system-neutral or easily converted to your favorite OSR rule set.
