Infinity Loop – July 2015

Hello from the void! It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything… seems I fell in a bit of a hole at the end of July and am just now climbing back out of it!

Much like June, I have no idea where the time went. I’m hoping to catch back up on some productivity as we rush headlong to the end of 2015, so we’ll see how that goes.

In the meantime, how did the lost month of July 2015 go?

What did we get done?

caveat-emptor-delayedNothing. Well, nothing we could release anyway. I worked like mad on Insta-NPCs #10: Caveat Emptor and posted an eight post series on working through the Medieval Market map from DramaScape. And then… I ran out of time and energy. Between my wife’s birthday at the end of July and a soccer tournament that bled into August, I had zero free time and work didn’t cooperate either.

Add to that a potentially disastrous migration to Windows 10 on my publication machine (the one I use Adobe InDesign to create Moebius products on) and several days of frustration over what eventually boiled down to a bad driver installation…

And that about covers the last couple of weeks for me.

That said – we did get the website merged and have been posting blog posts here exclusively since mid-July courtesy of Bill “The Man” Moran and his mad WordPress skills. I think he did a fantastic job! I have more work to do here to clean up the product catalog, but honestly I am happy as a clam.

What do you think about the new website? Any input?

What’s coming up?

plansAs a one man shop, I’m definitely at the whim of my family and work commitments. So I apologize for that. But my goals for this month are as follows:

  1. Finish up Insta-NPCs #10
  2. Pull together a supplement detailing all the people in the DramaScape Medieval Market as a separate release
  3. Finalize some potential bundle opportunities that have arisen with another company (more on this once I can talk about it)
  4. Create a new Insta-NPCs bundle that wraps up Insta-NPCs #6-10

The first full week of August is done already, but that’s my plan.

Once that is done, I have some other things on the horizon:

  • They Came from the Lake – A Lost Age Adventure
  • The Stone Tower – A Lost Age Adventure
  • Revenge of the Serpent Queen – A Lost Age Adventure
  • Plus tons more in the Insta-NPCs series, Little Spaces, Open Spaces, and new product lines
  • And more collaboration with Vince Florio once I wrap up a couple of things

Beyond that, I also have to share some of the fun session summaries of how playtesting of some of these adventures has been going. It’s been fun. 🙂

July Web Traffic

As you might imagine, web traffic was a bit split in July between the old blog ( and the updated website.

At the old blog:

  • Page views: 851
  • Unique visits: 677
  • First time visits: 551
  • Returning visits: 126

At the revamped site:

  • Page views: 634
  • Unique visits: 361
  • First time visits: 318
  • Returning visits: 43

So we dropped considerably from 4,000 page views in June to about 1,500 page views in July – mostly because StumbleUpon didn’t grace us with its inconsistent presence. But honestly we’re still up for the year with the combined numbers, so I’m hopeful.

As far as the most popular posts in July, the market series was definitely the big draw. So I’ll see about doing more of that kind of thing in the future!

Sales and Such

Sales dropped precipitously, but with no new products released I am not shocked.

The GenCon sale at the end of July helped some from DriveThruRPG and I have no idea what my sales at the Paizo store are doing (the vendor reporting tool was down today), but we dropped to our lowest number of downloads for the year – 104 so far. After 8 months, we’re only at about 37% of our 2014 numbers.

Our number one product for the month was Insta-NPCs #9: Cults & Cultists and in general the Insta-NPCs series is outselling most of my other product lines but a ton.

Thank you!

As always, thank you for your support of Moebius Adventures games. My time writing is among my favorite time spent every day and I hope to do more of it going forward and get back on track!

Hope you have another great month of gaming!
